JoAnn Seagren is a Managing Director of JA Glynn Private Wealth and is a member of JAG’s management committee. JoAnn worked previously at Geneva Advisors, which was then acquired by CIBC bank. Prior to that, she was a principal and co-owner of Advocate Asset Management LLC, a wealth manager for high net worth families and institutions, where she served as the head of investor relations, business development and strategy. Previously, JoAnn also worked at BDT Capital Partners, a Chicago-based investment banking firm and, earlier in her career, at Towle & Co, a single-family office, deep-value investment advisory firm. At the start of her career, she worked for LaSalle Partners (now JLL) in marketing and client relations.
JoAnn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in business, where she was elected to Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma and was a National Merit Scholar. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, where she serves on the Forums Committee, and International Women’s Forum, where she serves on the Executive Board of the Chicago chapter. JoAnn serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Openlands, and she volunteer teaches in the Chicago Public Schools. JoAnn is a co-founder of Smartfarms.org. She is an active member of The Fortnightly of Chicago, the oldest women’s society in Chicago, founded in 1873.
